Cold Lake Aeros Junior A Hockey Club Celebrates Award-Winning Season and Playoff Berth

Cold Lake, AB - March 12, 2023 - The Cold Lake Aeros Junior A Hockey Club is thrilled to announce and celebrate the outstanding achievements of two key members of the team in the Canadian-American Junior Hockey League (CAJHL). Anthony Rizzi has been named the Top Forward of the Year, while Ryan Gruszka has been awarded Coach of the Year in the CAJHL. These accolades are a testament to their hard work, dedication, and exceptional talent within the league.

"We are incredibly proud of Anthony Rizzi and Ryan Gruszka for their well-deserved recognition in the CAJHL," said Axel Axmann, General Manager of the Cold Lake Aeros Junior A Hockey Club. "Their contributions to the team have been invaluable, and we are honored to have such talented individuals as part of our organization."

In addition to celebrating the individual successes of Rizzi and Gruszka, the Cold Lake Aeros are pleased to announce their 2nd place finish in the league standings. As they head into the playoffs, the Cold Lake Aeros will face off against the Vegreville Vipers in a best 2 out of 3 series beginning on Friday, March 15th.

The playoff games will take place at the Cold Lake Energy Centre, Imperial Oil Arena, with game times scheduled for 7:30 PM on both Friday and Saturday nights. Fans are encouraged to come out and support the Cold Lake Aeros as they compete against the Vegreville Vipers in what promises to be an exciting and intense playoff series.
